Prime Minister's XIII

Prime Minister's XIII or the PM's XIII is the name of a representative rugby league team selected on an annual basis by the Prime Minister of Australia that consists of mainly young Australian players drawn from the National Rugby League competition to take on the Papua New Guinea national rugby league team. The match is almost exclusively played in Papua New Guinea at the resolution of the rugby league season and is seen as an Australian second team.

In recent years the team has been coached by current Queensland State of Origin coach Mal Meninga, whom again coached the side in 2006 gaining a victory of 28-8 at Lloyd Robson Oval in Port Moresby.

In 2007, The PM's XIII drew 24-24 with Papua New Guinea after leading 20-0 at half time.

In 2008, The PM's XIII beat Papua New Guinea in a high scoring affair 53-30.
