T. K. Rajeev Kumar (born 1961 in Kottayam, Kerala, India) is a director in Malayalam Cinema. He is settled in Thiruvananthapuram(Trivandrum). He is the director of two National and State Award winning films, Sesham and Jalamarmaram. He is generally famous for his films with subtle topics or the parellel industry in Malayalam films. Rajeev Kumar served as the Chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy from 2003 to 2006. He was also the Director for the International Film Festival of Kerala ( IFFK ) from 2003 to 2006.

Early life

Rajeev kumar did his graduation from University College, Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram). Soon after his studies, he joined State Bank of Travancore. He started his career in Malayalam film industry as an assistant to director with Navodaya Production Company at the age of 26. His directorial debut film was "Chanakyan" and was fortunate enough to rope in Kamal Haasan to potray a role alongside Jayaram. It was critically acclaimed and run well in Box Office. He assisted the director Jijo in his early career.

Now he is the Chariman and Director of Acethetik Film society which will launch the International Student Film Festival of India.
