WZZR is an FM radio station that serves the Port St. Lucie/West Palm Beach/Fort Lauderdale/Stuart area with a talk radio format. Currently on 94.3, it used to be on 92.7 until recently. Until 1992, it was known as "Z93" and played top 40 music, and music from the 80's and 70's. It also supported the local St. Lucie Mets home games at Thomas J. White Stadium (now Tradition Field) in Port St. Lucie (St. Lucie West). The name of the station was on merchandise that was given away during games, including bat holders and towels. In 1992, it changed formats to talk, although it occasionally played music until the mid 90's. Its current slogan, "Music radio sucks", is ironic considering it used to play music. It is under ownership of Clear Channel Communications, and shares a building with several other Clear Channel stations.
