Special visceral afferent

Special visceral afferent (SVA) refers to afferent nerves that develop in association with the gastrointestinal tract. [NormanAnatomy|cranialnerves] Examples of nerves containing SVA fibers include the olfactory nerve, the facial nerve, the glossopharyngeal nerve, and the vagus nerve. [Mehta, Samir et al.
