Robert Woodrow Wilson (fashion executive)

Robert W. Wilson (born November 4, 1959) is an American fashion photographer and retail advertising executive. Raised in Muncie, Indiana, his advertising career has taken him to some of the biggest names in retail n the country, most recently as Group Vice President Creative Director for Macy's in New York (a division of Federated Department Stores), where his staff of 117 people was the largest retail creative team in the United States.

As reported on internet site "The Shop Hound" (http://theshophound.typepad.com/the_shophound/macys/index.html), Robert was the feature of episode one for the Fall 2006 "Unwrapping Macy's," a Women's Entertainment Television behind-the-scenes look at the retail industry. He has made appearances on such fashion-related programs as VH-1's "The Agency." He also has served as judge for the Retail and Marketing Association's (RAMA) Retail Advertising Conference awards, the top awards competition in retail advertising (http://www.rama-nrf.org/content/default.asp?folder=rac/rac2005&file=rac05main.htm&bhcp=1).

Robert studied Journalism and public relations at Ball State University; and photography at the Glassel School of Fine Art in Houston, Texas under the tutelage of Amy Blakemore and MFA graduate studies in photography at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
