Their motto is : "Jésus Et Marie Ma Force Et Ma Glorie"

Since 1843, the SNJM's mission to educate young girls has extended beyond Québec [cite web|url=http://www.snjmqc.ca|title=Soeurs des Saints Noms de Jésus et de Marie du Québec] into other Canadian provinces, including Manitoba [cite web|url=http://www.snjmmb.ca|title=Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary Manitoba] and Ontario.
