The Delaware Democratic Party is the local branch of the Democratic Party in the US State of Delaware, headquartered in unincorporated New Castle County.[1] John D. Daniello is the state Chair.

Federal executive

In 2008, Sen. Joe Biden was elected Vice President of the United States with Sen. Barack Obama, who was elected President. Biden is the first Delawarean to run on a presidential ticket, and the first Delawarean to be elected and hold the office. Biden assumed the Vice Presidency in 2009.
