Suzanne Fisher Staples is the author of six books addressed to children and adolescents. Born in
Philadelphia ,Pennsylvania (U.S.A. ), she grew up in a small community around Northeastern Pennsylvania. She had three siblings, a sister and two brothers. Suzanne went to Lakeland High School in Jermyn, Pennsylvania. Later, she graduated from Cedar Crest College in Allentown,Pennsylvania . She was at one time employed as anews reporter and editor for theUnited Press International . She worked in many places across theU.S.A. andAsia , includingPakistan ,India ,Afghanistan ,New York , andWashington DC . In 1985, she returned toPakistan to assess the conditions of poor, rural women and report back to theUnited States Agency for International Development .Books
