Mayfield Township is one of nineteen townships in DeKalb County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 810.[1] Mayfield Township was renamed from Liberty Township on November 20, 1850.

According to the United States Census Bureau, Mayfield Township covers an area of 35.22 square miles (91.2 km2); of this, 35.2 square miles (91 km2) (99.95 percent) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.052 km2) (0.07 percent) is water.
