Christopher Reece

Christopher Reece (sometimes known as Chris Reece) (born July 28, 1959) is an American musician. He was the drummer of The Lewd (1981–1983) and Social Distortion (1984–1993).

Reece was 22 years old in 1981 when he started playing drums for The Lewd. He left the band in 1983. The following year he was hired by Mike Ness to join Social Distortion, along with bassist John Maurer. Reece's first recording with the band was the 1988 release Prison Bound. He also played drums on their next two albums, 1990's self-titled release, and Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell in 1992. Reece left Social Distortion in 1993 and was replaced by Randy Carr.

In the spring of 1980, Chris lived in the Bay Area and formed a band with guitarist, Terry Too Loud. They were scheduled to open for Public Image Ltd/Johnny Rotten, but Chris's car with drums in tow, wouldn't run, and never made the gig. Terry went on to form White Silence, aka The White Niggas, sessioned with The Sea Hags in '85, and then onto The Deep Six. He had more gigs with Chris before he moved to Los Angeles.

He is currently the owner of The Pike Bar & Grill, in Long Beach, CA. Some of the well known customers refer to him as the "Owner of the Restaurant"
