Independence Republic of Sardinia (Sardinian: "Indipendèntzia Repùbrica de Sardigna"; Italian translation: "Indipendenza Repubblica di Sardegna"), also known as "iRS" is a progressive non-violent indipendentist political party in Sardinia, founded in 2002. It supports the foundation of a Republic of Sardinia.The party took 1.1% of the votes in Sardinia for the Italian general election, 2006. It has no national and regional MPs, and its leader Gavino Sale as a single Provincial MP in Province of Sassari.
