Tadeusz Pełczyński

Tadeusz Pełczyński (1892-1985) was a Polish general. During the interwar period in the Second Polish Republic he was twice (1922-1932 and 1935-1938) head of Polish military intelligence ("Oddział II Sztabu Generalnego"). During the Second World War, member of Armia Krajowa, codename "Grzegorz". Chief of Staff of Armia Krajowa Warsaw district, second in command to General Tadeusz Bór-Komorowski. Fought in Starówka and Śródmieście, commanded the second assault on Dworzec Gdański. Wounded on September 9. After the war emigrated to United Kingdom.
