Umanath Bali

Umanath Bali

Rai Umanath Bali, along with Pandit Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhande, founded an institution for Indian music in Lucknow now known as Bhatkhande Music Institute University. He was uncle to Rai Rajeshwar Bali, the Taluqdar of Daryabad.

Today, the Rai Umanath Bali Auditorium in Lucknow is named after him.
