Additional Information

"I Refuse" is a strong dramatic ballad where Aaliyah refuses to let her lover break her heart again and feel the pain once more. Among the writers was Steve "Static" Garrett who also provided background vocals. Sound effects are used to create the sound of thunder and rain in the beginning.

Music video

No video was released for this song. This is possibly because it was released in one country only. A fan video was made for Youtube by user "Spally87". It combines clips from her music videos, performances, funeral service, and "Romeo Must Die". The video was added November 25, 2006.
