42nd World Science Fiction Convention

The 42nd World Science Fiction Convention (Worldcon), also known as L.A.con II, was held 30 August3 September 1984 at the Anaheim Hilton and the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California, USA. The chairmen were Craig Miller and Milt Stevens.The guest of honor was Gordon R. Dickson (pro) and Dick Eney (fan).
Robert Bloch was the toastmaster for the Hugo Ceremony, and Jerry Pournelle was the master of ceremonies for the Other Awards Ceremony.Total attendance was 8,365, a record.
