Patrick Gallagher (politician)

Patrick (Paddy) Gallagher (born 1 December 1946) is a former Sinn Féin the Workers' Party, Workers Party of Ireland and Democratic Left politician who sat in Dáil Éireann for the constituency of Waterford from 9 March 1982 to 4 November 1982. He was an elected member of Waterford City Council from the 1970s to 1990s.

A journalist Gallagher established his own newspaper Waterford Today in the 1990s and the free-sheet style paper is now one of Waterford's most popular.fact|date=January 2008
