Treaty of El Pardo (1739)

The Treaty of El Pardo was signed on January 14, 1739 between representatives of the British Empire and the Spanish Empire. Based on the terms of the treaty, the signatories agreed to settle their respective claims to American navigation and trade. Moreover, the signatories agreed to discuss the boundaries of the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida. Also, Spain agreed to pay 95,000 pounds sterling to England for damages made to the South Sea Company.
