Butaleja District

Butaleja District

Butaleja is a district in the Eastern Region of Uganda.It was previously a county under Tororo district but it was granted district status in June 2005. The district is inhabited by the Banyole people who speak Lunyole.The Banyole are a Bantu tribe and they number about 200,000 people.
