Cherry was an all-Australian girl pop music group. It was one of the first girl bands to emerge since the loss of the successful early 90's girl-group Girlfriend (who later became gf4). Cherry consisted of Zoe, Hayley, Camielle, Gerri and Amy, and was formed in 1998.

The debut single 'SOS' was produced by well known industry producer/song writer Michael Szumowski (Toni Pearen, Bardot, Marcia Hines, Guy Sebastian, Shannon Noll), and released on Columbia and Sony Music Entertainment. The single did not chart, so the label reworked the band's image, deciding on a more edgy approach. This resulted in the group covering the Transvision Vamp hit 'I Want Your Love'. The B-side single featured the track 'The way you do' penned by Szumowski and local artist Toni Pearen. Once again, it did not meet with success, and the label went back to the drawing board, spending more time on promotion in local teen magazines and local appearances. The group also embarked on a club tour around Australia, mostly at gay venues.

The group then went onto release their third single written by well-known song writer Diane Warren, a ballad titled 'Saddest Song' Originally by American r&b/soul girl group For Real with the title being "The Saddest Song I Ever Heard". The single also featured a dance remix and rnb versions of the song. The track reached #46 on the ARIA charts on 25 July 1999, their first (and only) charting hit. At this time, two of the groups singers, Zoe and Amy, left the group, only leaving three remaining members of the group. Camielle, Gerri and Hayley decided to continue as a three piece outfit and after lengthy discussions with their record label it was decided that they would re-record all the tracks that had been finished for their as yet released debut album Sacred Kiss that had been recorded with Amy and Zoe's vocals, and also re-release third single Saddest Song as a three piece. A new video was made for the song and even released to music television stations, but the single and album were cancelled last minute by the record label.

With no further official releases, the group disbanded by the end of the year. Their album Sacred Kiss, featuring a title track also penned by Diane Warren, was not released. Camielle had a short solo career in 2000, releasing the single 'Yadda Yadda Yadda'.
