Aqrah

The Kurdish film director, Hiner Saleem was born in this city. The Iraqi Ambassador to Vienna, Tariq Aqrawi is also from Akre, and Dr. Abdullah Saeed Abdullah D.G of D.O.H of Duhok lived in Aqrah. Akre is the administrative district of the same name, which is administered by the Kurdistan Autonomous Region.
