Plumley

Plumley

Plumley is a town and civil parish in the Macclesfield district of Cheshire, England.

In the village there is two public bars, The Golden Pheasant and The Smoker (which has won awards), a village hall, a methodist church, tennis courts, riding stables, a post office and a golf course nearby. The railway which runs through Plumley travels regularly between Manchester and Chester. School buses also run through the village for both primary and secondary school pupils.

However small, it is widely known throughout the village that Jason Orange (and briefly Gary Barlow), from the newly reformed boy-band Take That lived in Plumley for some years. There have also been sightings of Robbie Williams in the village.

Plumley railway station is on the Mid-Cheshire Line.
