Barryoe GAA club is a Gaelic football and Hurling club located in the parish of Barryroe in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. It draws its players from the villages of Courtmacsherry, Butlerstown, Lislevane and surounding areas. The club participates in the West Cork (Carbery) division of Cork and operates at Intermediate A level in hurling and Junior A in football.

History

The Barryroe Club was founded in 1890.

The Barryroe Complex caters for numerous grades in GAA and Camogie from Under 6’s up to Senior status, and hence there has been pressure on the existing facilities.fact|date=August 2007 The club has therefore recently commenced a project to extend the existing facilities width to provide an improved modern complex to cater for youth team development. This includes extending the current pitch, plans to install flood lighting (similar to that installed in Pairc Ui Rinn). This involved the acquisition of additional land. Coupled with the above, the existing second training facility is expected to be enlarged and extended and the Club House revamped.

It has been 17 years since the club last ran a major draw with funds then raised used in the provision of dressing rooms, Tennis Court and playground. Since then a new all weather flood lit hurling alley has been provided and this has proved. The entire project will cost in the region of €250,000, with some funding received from the National Lottery.fact|date=August 2007

Barryroe won their seventh West Cork Junior A Hurling Championship on Sunday the 9 September 2007 in Timoleague defeating Newcestown by 3-12 to 0-6. They followed this up with wins over Erin's Ownand Kinsale to reach their 2nd County Final. In this final they defeated fancied Charleville by 2-19 to 2-13 to win the Cork Junior 'A' Hurling Championship for the first time. The club will now participate at Intermediate A level in hurling for 2008.
