Henry of Avranches [Henry d'Avranches, Henri d'Avranches, Henricus Abrincensis, Henricus de Abrincis.] (died 1260) [Date of death given as 1260 [http://www.bsz-bw.de/rekla/show.php?mode=source&eid=IFB_99-B09_249] .] was a poet of the first half of the thirteenth century, writing in Latin. He is described as an itinerant cleric. [ [http://pom.bbaw.de/JDG/frameset_jdg.html?http://pom.bbaw.de/JDG/browse?id=JRE0411III&year=1928] , German site, as Heinrich von Avranches.]

He wrote numerous works, in hagiography and in other styles, including a life of Francis of Assisi, on John Blund, and poems on grammar.
