Timothy "Tim" R. Young (born October 15, 1973 in Gulfport, Mississippi) is a former relief pitcher in Major League Baseball who played in part of two seasons for the Montreal Expos (1998) and Boston Red Sox (2000). He batted and threw left handed.

Young was named the Class-A All-Star relief pitcher in 1996, after going 1-0 with a 0.31 ERA and 18 saves for the Vermont Expos of the New York - Penn League. But he never was able to fulfill the potential that he showed and struggled at major league level, playing for 12 different minor league teams between 1996 and 2004. In a 18-game major league career, he posted a 6.23 ERA with 13 strikeouts in 13.0 innings pitched without a decision or save.

Following his majors career, Young pitched for Triple-A Pawtucket, Syracuse, Colorado, Memphis and Buffalo, and with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp of the Japan Central League. He also was a member of the Gold-Medal US Baseball Team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
