He became a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles onApril 9 ,1953 to replace the vacancy caused byJohn A. Widtsoe 's death.Bennion died in 1958 at
Salt Lake City ,Utah . He served less than five years in the quorum. Upon his passing,Hugh B. Brown was called to the quorum.ee also
