The Valencia Metro (Spanish: "Metro Valencia" or "Metro de Valencia") is the public mass transit system of Valencia, Carabobo, Venezuela and its suburbs Naguanagua and San Diego.

The metro system was officially opened on 18 November 2006 with 3 stations along a 4.7 km (3 mile) route, operating for limited hours but providing service free of charge. Normal revenue service with 7 stations began 18 November 2007. Valencia Metro:
* operates: Monday-Friday from 6am to 8:30pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays from 6:00am to 7:30pm;
* charges an adult fare of 500 bolivares (0.5 BsF)(23 US cents) and a student fare of 150 bolivares (0.15 BsF) (7 US Cents);
* transports an average of 55 000 passenger daily.

Lines

Currently Valencia Metro operates one transit line, with two lines under construction and a fourth under consideration. Line 1 (4.7 km), Line 2 (4.3 km), both in Valencia, and Line 3 (5.5 km) in Naguanagua align on a common north-south trajectory. They are identified individually during construction but when the system is fully completed, they will form a single continuous line and no transfers will be necessary to continue a trip. A separate east-west Line 4 (18.2 km), mainly in Valencia with only one station in San Diego, is in the preliminary planning stage.
