St. John of the Cross Catholic School is a Catholic elementary school in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. It is in the Meadowvale area, and is part of the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board. The school opened in 1984, with the blessing on June 21 of that year, attended by Rev. P.J. Nessinger, O.Carm., Chairman of the Board R.F. Hall, Director of Education B.J. Fleming, Superintendent of Schools J.E. McGirr, Superintendent of Business Affairs R.E. LeMay, and then principal T.D. O'Brien. St. John of the Cross provides many school teams for children from grades 4-8:

In 2006, the cross country team competed in the Cross Country Meet on October 19 at Erindale Park. With 70 runners, St. John of the Cross earned 5 banners, the most won that year. First place banners went to the grade 5 boys team and the grade 7 girls team. The team was coached by grade 8 teacher Ms. M. Perruzza and grade 7 teacher Mr. M. Naismith.fact|date=May 2008

With less than 400 students attending St. John of the Cross, the school is considerably small in population. Over 50 grade eight graduates each year are a contributing factor to this small population. Also, because of the school's location, fewer kindergartners enroll each year.
