Keir Nuttall

Keir Nuttall

Keir Nuttall is a Brisbane guitarist, singer and songwriter. He performs and records in the band of his partner Kate Miller-Heidke, the Brisbane singer-songwriter and Sony-BMG artist, as well as in the progressive rock trio Transport.

Although Kate Miller-Heidke's repertoire consists mainly of her own compositions, she has also recorded or performed some songs written by Keir Nuttall, including her 2004 turntable hit "Space They Cannot Touch" and her 2007 single "Words". Nuttall and Miller-Heidke have also written songs together.

As 'Franky Walnut', during Kate Miller-Heidke concerts, Keir Nuttall has often performed his comic songs "Where Have I Been All Your Life?" and "Three Word Review", both of which he has recorded.

Before joining Transport and Kate Miller-Heidke, Keir Nuttall played in a number of Brisbane bands, including Complicated Game, experimental rock-funk trio More with Phil Lepherd and Lachlan Stewart (formed in his home town of Toowoomba but relocated to Brisbane) and 80s covers band Space Invaders.
