Saint Augustine's College, more commonly known as "Saints", is a Catholic boys' high school in Cairns, Queensland, Australia.

Saints houses boarders both from its own students and girls from Saint Monica's School. The school is known for it's strong community of students and 'Old Boys' (graduates) and it's formidable strength in the sporting arena.

Campus

The college campus includes such facilities as:
* 3 Cricket nets
* A newly refurbished weights room
* Indoor and Outdoor basketball / volleyball / badminton courts
* A 33m swimming pool
* Multi-purpose Oval
* 2 tennis courts; and
* A chapel
* A drama hall
* Boarding houses

Boarding school

Saint Augustines offers a co-ed Boarding School catering for students from grades 8 to 12. The boarding community includes many students from the Far Northern Queensland region, along with many country students from Outback Queensland and the Northern Territory. A significant number of students also board from as far away as Papua New Guinea and other islands off the coast of Australia.

Sporting tradition

The college is a member of the Cairns Interschool Senior Sport (CISSA [ [http://www.sac.qld.edu.au/Co-curricularActivities/cissa/] ] ) which see's a number of local schools compete in a number of different sports each Wednesday in the first semester. Saint Augustines has also been very successful in holding the Overall Boys TCN Swimming Champion trophy for over 30 years.

School houses

Saint Augustines has 4 houses. They are as follow:
* Heavey
* Phelan
* Walter
* Reginald

These four houses compete against each other in many activities, including annual Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, Public Speaking, Saints Factor and also a special competition on Champagnat Day. These events build up to a House Cup which is awarded at the end of each year.

AMSA

The college played host to the 2008 Australian Marist Schools Association Basketball Carnival [ [http://amsaust.asn.au/display.asp?pg=bcarn http://amsaust.asn.au/display.asp?pg=bcarn AMSA site] ] , which occurred April 14 to 18. Games were played at the 'Fish Tank' and the carnival was hailed a success by many mainly thanks to the voluntary involvement of many staff (spearheaded by Head of Sport John Brimstone).
