Sasaki Associates

Sasaki Associates is an architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning firm founded in 1953 by Hideo Sasaki (1919-2000).

Sasaki was educated at the University of California, Berkeley, the University of Illinois, and Harvard University. He served as chair of the Department of Landscape Architecture at Harvard from 1958 to 1968.

Sasaki Associates has created a wide range of buildings, landscapes, and urban infrastructure. These include the Oklahoma City Memorial, the Dallas Rapid Transit system, and buildings and master plans for numerous universities, including the University of California, Berkeley, the University of South Florida, and Utah State University. The firm is currently designing venues and a master plan for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
