Tung Ling Seminary (TLS) is an interdenominational Charismatic seminary located in the town of Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. TLS was established in 1993 as an extension centre of the Tung Ling Bible College in Singapore.

History

TLS traces its development from the 1978 establishment of the Tung Ling Bible School (TLBS) in Singapore as a short term Bible school to train and prepare workers within the larger charismatic movement. The prime movers for the establishment of the TLBS were Goh Ewe Kheng (Church of Singapore), James Wong (Anglican Diocese of Singapore), Des Short (Assemblies of God in New Zealand), Colin Campbell and Gordon Moore. A curriculum was developed with the help of Faith Bible College, Tauranga, New Zealand, and the first batch of students accepted in 1979. The TLBS was eventually renamed the Tung Ling Bible College (TLBC) as it expanded and started to offer degree courses cite book |title=Come Up Higher (Graduation magazine of the School of Ministry 2007) |last= |first= |authorlink= |coauthors= |year=2007 |publisher=Tung Ling Seminary |location=Subang Jaya ] .

In 1993, the senior pastor of Full Gospel Tabernacle and later president of the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship, Eu Hong Seng, initiated the establishment of an extension centre of the TLBC in Malaysia. With the approval of the Board of Directors of TLBC, a Malaysian Board was set up comprising of Eu Hong Seng, Wong Kim Kong (Independent), Richard Toh (Malaysia Baptist Convention), Phua Seng Tiong (Methodist Church in Malaysia), J. S. Devaraj (Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia) and Andrew Phang (Anglican Diocese of West Malaysia) [cite web |url=http://www.tungling.org/aboutus.html |title=Tung Ling Seminary - About Us |accessdate=2008-06-25 |work= |date= ] .

The affiliated Evangelical Theological Seminary ( _ta. Suvishesha Iraiyiyal Kallorie) is part of TLS but has its own administrative structure and focuses on providing training in the Tamil language with a branch campus in Taiping, Perak.

In 2001, a 3 month School of Ministry program was established in India by the Harvest Training Institute with cooperation from TLS. The program is conducted in Tamil and TLS provides significant support to the program by means of subsidies as well as the provision of teaching staff .
