Egil Kristian Tynæs born
August 12 1941 was a Norwegian doctor. OnJune 2 ,2004 inBadghis ,Afghanistan Tynæs and four others (AfghansFasil Ahmad andBesmillah , BelgianHelene de Beir , and DutchmanWillem Kwint ) were killed in anambush whilst working for thehumanitarian organizationMédecins Sans Frontières .Egil Tynæs worked in his everyday life as a senior doctor at the Municipal Outdoor Clinic in Bergen,
Norway . He undertook two assignments forMédecins Sans Frontières . He worked forMSF-Switzerland in 2002 inBaharak , Afghanistan and in 2004 forMSF-Netherlands in Badghis. There, he worked on atuberculosis project and trained local medical staff. He was killed on the final date of his assignment.
