Injuries to Troy Simmonds and Trent Knobel forced Pattison to shoulder the responsibility of being Richmond’s No. 1 ruckman for much of last season and, despite often being out-muscled and undersized in the role, he refused to drop his head. Played 18 games, fast-forwarding his development and impressing the Tigers’ coaching staff in the process. In time, could become a fine centre half-forward and relieving ruckman. Recent times has seen him earn the famous nick name patto_man which has gained him cult status among fans.
