Andy Dillon (1962- ) is a politician from the state of
Michigan . He is a Democratic Party member of theMichigan State House of Representatives . His district is located in Wayne County and includes Redford Township, the northern portion of Dearborn Heights, and the Eastern portion of Livonia. He was elected to be theSpeaker (politics) for the 2007-2008 legislative session.

Dillon graduated from
Detroit Catholic Central High School in 1980, where he starred in boy's cross-country. Dillon attended the Detroit College of Law and then transferred to, and graduated from theUniversity of Notre Dame with degrees in accounting and law. Dillon ran a law practice in Wayne County before becoming President of DSC Ltd. in 1995. While president, Dillon testified before the Federal Government on protecting and preserving manufacturing jobs. He served as a Magistrate for the 17th District Court. Dillon was also an aide to former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley.Political career
Dillon was first elected to the State House in 2004 in a special election to fill a vacancy. He was easily re-elected in 2006, and his Democratic colleagues chose him to be the 70th Speaker of the House in their first year in the majority since the 1990s.

Dillon lives in Redford with his wife, Carol, and his four young children.
