Anisotropic conductive film

Anisotropic conductive film

Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF), is a lead-free and environmentally-friendly epoxy system that has been used in Liquid Crystal Display manufacturing to make the electrical and mechanical connections from the driver electronics to the glass substrates of the LCD.

The connecting where soldering used has been replaced due to fine-pitch trends and environmental issues.

ACF technology is used in chip-on-glass (COG); film-on-glass(FOG); film-on-board(FOB); chip-on-film (COF); and; chip-on-board (COB) and so forth applications for higher signal densities and smaller overall display packages.
