Shaine Parr

Shaine Parr is an American electronic music producer, songwriter, and a member of the electronic pop duo VOSHO.

Parr was born on March 15, 1977, in Fargo, North Dakota. His family moved often during his childhood and he grew up mainly in Tucson, AZ, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Moorhead, MN. Shaine showed great potential in the arts as a child and participated in theater, music, and visual art. He is classically trained as a pianist, guitarist, and vocalist.

Parr began his career working as an audio engineer for producers such as Morris Hayes(Prince and the N.P.G., Maceo Parker, Chaka Kahn), Chan Poling(The Suburbs, The New Standards), and John Fields(Mandy Moore, Andrew W.K.).

As a musician, Parr began playing in rock bands in his early teens. He plays guitar, keyboards, bass guitar, drums, and is an accomplished vocalist. In his late teens he became very interested in jazz and new music, and played in various such ensembles.

In his mid-twenties, he was a successful touring and recording artist under the alter-ego SONAFIDE. Parr recorded one album as SONAFIDE.

Recently Parr has written and recorded music for film, television, and video games. He owns and operates the digital recording studio Electropiphany, and the indie record label INDELICA RECORDS.
