William Makepeace Thackeray's novel "Vanity Fair" (1847 - 1848) has been the subject of numerous television and film adaptations. This BBC television drama serial adaptation was broadcast in 1998. It also has a screenplay by Andrew Davies.

Natasha Little has also starred in the Reese Witherspoon adaptation of Vanity Fair. Not as Becky Sharp, but instead as her kindly sister-in-law Lady Jane Sheepshanks.
