Sherron Marlon Collins (born March 18, 1987 in Chicago, Illinois) is a 5'11" American basketball player who currently plays for University of Kansas in the Big 12 of the NCAA. After the 2006-2007 season, Collins was unanimously selected to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team. Collins won the 2008 Big 12 Sixth Man Award. Collins has been an offensive spark off the bench for the Jayhawks. He has posted 10 points or more in 11 games during the 2007-2008 season. The sophomore guard made at least one 3-pointer in 22 of 29 outings and recorded three or more assists 14 times. Collins helped the Jayhawks capture the 2008 national championship, averaging 8.3 points and 3.8 assists in the NCAA tournament. He made a key play in the title game versus the Memphis Tigers, stealing an inbounds pass with under two minutes remaining in regulation and Kansas trailing by seven, then hitting a three to cut the deficit to four. Kansas would go on to win in overtime.
