Albert De Martin (born on February 20, 1951 in Montreal, Quebec) is a politician from Quebec, Canada, and the Action démocratique du Québec Member of the National Assembly for the electoral district of Huntingdon.

From 1987 to 2000, De Martin served as Councillor in Godmanchester. Heavily involved in the farming and agriculture industies, he was co-owner of the local farm Fermes AJIRO 1989 inc. for 27 years. He was also an administrator for several associations and organisations including the union of the Union des Producteurs Agricoles (Saint-Anicet branch), the local development for the Upper Saint-Lawrence region and the Saint-Jean de Valleyfield commercial culture union.

De Martin was first elected to the National Assembly in the 2007 election with 43% of the vote. Liberal incumbent André Chenail, finished second with 31% of the vote. De Martin took office on April 12, 2007. [ [http://www.radio-canada.ca/nouvelles/Politique/2007/04/12/005-AssermentationADQ.shtml Au tour de l'ADQ, Radio-Canada, April 12, 2007] ]

During the election campaign, De Martin received the endorsement of controversial but influential Huntingdon Mayor Stéphane Gendron. Stormy relations between Gendron, an outspoken populist, and Chenail, who was running for a fifth consecutive term, are no secret to the public.
