The 1999 Major League Baseball All-Star Game was the 70th playing of the midsummer classic between the all-stars of the American League (AL) and National League (NL), the two leagues comprising Major League Baseball. The game was held on July 13, 1999 at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, the home of the Boston Red Sox of the American League. The game resulted in a win for the American League by the final score of 4-1.

Notes

*Both the American and National League Starting Pitchers would be on the Red Sox 2004 World Series Championship team.
*The Yankees-Red Sox rivalry was magnified with two instances. Joe Torre was the manager of the American League team because the Yankees were the American League Champions the year before. Yankees SS Derek Jeter was brought into the game to replace starting SS, Nomar Garciaparra (of the Red Sox). Jeter was brought in after Garciaparra already had taken the field. Torre did this so the fans at Fenway would cheer for Nomar leaving the field and not boo Jeter taking the field to start the inning. Jeter, when coming to bat, did a tribute to Garciaparra by mimmicking his batting stance.
