Montreal's LaSalle College is the largest private bilingual technical college in Canada [LaSalle College's Website] . It was established in 1959 and is accredited by the Quebec government.

Programs

The CEGEP offers two types of programs: pre-university and technical. The pre-university programs, which take two years to complete, cover the subject matters which roughly correspond to the additional year of high school given elsewhere in Canada in preparation for a chosen field in university. The technical programs, which take three-years to complete, applies to students who wish to pursue a skill trade.

The college has programs in computer science; fashion; hotel management and tourism; food services and food service management; business, accounting and transportation; real estate; childhood education; and personal insurance. It offers two year intensive training and three year regular training, as well as specialised training programs lasting from 4 to 16 months.

LaSalle College is a division of the LaSalle College Group.

History

LaSalle College was named after Antoine Charles Louis Lasalle.
