2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs

The 2000 Stanley Cup Playoffs began in April, and concluded in June. The sixteen teams that qualified, eight from each conference, played best-of-7 series for conference quarterfinals, semifinals and championships, and then the conference champions played a best-of-7 series for the Stanley Cup.

The playoffs ended when the New Jersey Devils deafeating the reigning champions the Dallas Stars in a six game series to win their second Stanley Cup title in their history. Devils defenseman Scott Stevens was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as the MVP of the playoffs.
