James II of England

James II was deposed and three of his legitimate heirs were pretenders to the throne, before the line came to an end. James' senior male descendents after 1807 were thus illegitimate. First was the illegitimate son of Charles Edward Stuart before that line become completely defunct. Afterwards the most senior descendents were descended from James' most senior illegitimate child, James FitzJames, 1st Duke of Berwick.
