Alkon is a technology and digital entertainment website located in Argentina, which focuses on providing news, articles, reviews, previews, guides and cheats. The site was created by Guillermo Ferrero in 2001 and started initially as a forum for Counter-Strike gamers (as "Alkon" was the name of a game clan that played that game). As to date, Alkon is the most important Technology and Gaming community in Latin America. History

In 2000, a group of friends from Buenos Aires, Argentina formed a Counter-Strike clan named Alkon (due to the police special forces group "Halcón" from the Policia Federal Argentina) and decided to make a forum to discuss about the game in 2001.As time passed by, the website team started adding news about recent tournaments and posting game mods, until 2002 where they completely redesigned the website to include the first game reviews and guides.
