Highams Park railway station is in Highams Park which is in the London Borough of Waltham Forest in north east London. It is in Travelcard Zone 4, and the station and all trains are operated by National Express East Anglia.

History

The station was originally named Hale End upon opening in 1873, and then "Highams Park and Hale End".

Services

The typical off-peak and on-peak service is 4 trains per hour in both directions throughout most of the day, including Sundays. However, there is a 30 minute gap between trains early mornings and late Sunday evenings.

Level Crossing

A level crossing on "Larkhall Road" is situated just to the south of the station. The crossing is worked by the signal box at Liverpool Street Station. There are three ways to cross the line; the footbridge in the station, the subway at the south end of the station which links to the level crossing, and the level crossing itself.

Bus routes

No bus route starts or ends in Highams Park although three main bus routes and one school bus route pass through the area they are:
* 212 - Walthamstow Central to Chingford Station
* 275 - St James Street railway station to Barkingside "Tesco"
* 675 "School Bus" - Walthamstow Central to Woodford ("Woodbridge High School")
* W16 - Leytonstone tube station to Chingford Mount
