TRAMP!

TRAMP!

TRAMP! is the name of a weekly night club event in Manchester, UK. It started in October 2005 and is based around an open ended approach to music. It resided from 19 October 2005 to 31 December 2006 at the Bierkeller venue, located at 77 Piccadilly. The Bierkeller was a traditional German beer hall but the venue was eventually sold to developers in late 2006. It now takes place at North nightclub, in the Northern Quarter of the city underneath Affleck's Palace. It runs every Wednesday (except in July and August) and occasionally does one-off weekend events. TRAMP! has also been involved with Futuresonic Festival and D:Percussion festival, helping with artist bookings.

Ben Brown, James Smith, Will Dunn, Laith Mubarak and David Alexander dreamt up this beast in 2005, the Manchester music scene is in ever debt to their collective: Sonic Boom.

The club night is renowned for booking acts first in the region and often before they went on to commercial chart success. TRAMP! has hosted the following live guests: The Juan Maclean, Chromeo (twice), Joakim & His Ectoplasmic Band, Para One, Fujiya & Miyagi, The Presets, Cursor Miner, ADULT, Spektrum, The V.Cs, Shakes, New Young Pony Club, The Chap, Klaxons, Superthriller, Shychild, Crazy Girl, Pro Forma and Bonde do Rolê.
