Glenfarg

Glenfarg

Glenfarg is a small village in the Ochil Hills in the county of Perth and Kinross. The village benefited from a station on the Perth to Kinross railway line until its closure in 1964. The former railway line is now the route of the M90 motorway. At its peak, the village became a popular holiday destination, boasting 4 hotels [cite web | url = http://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/glenfarg/glenfarg/index.html | title = Glenfarg | author = Undiscovered Scotland | year = 2007 | month = April] . Services in the village include a church, small shop and post office, tennis courts, riding school, primary school with nursery, and a hotel, with a second recently having being bought out for housing development. The M90 motorway runs along the eastern periphery of the village. Without any direct junction onto the motorway, the most many people will see of the village is a tantalising glimpse of some neatly kept houses and rear gardens as they pass on the motorway.
