The Women's 100 metres Freestyle event was the 22th event contested on the 2007 World Aquatics Championship for Swimming.

135 swimmers from ? countries particpated in the event. Four days earlier, Lisbeth Lenton set the "Competition Record" for the event on the opening leg of the 4x100m freestyle relay final, eventually won by the Australian team.
