Lewin Bentham Bowring

Lewin Bentham Bowring (1824 - 1910) was the second son of Sir John Bowring, and the brother of John Charles Bowring and Edgar Alfred Bowring. While serving in the Bengal Civil Service (1843 - 1870), he held the offices of Private Secretary to the Viceroy (1858 - 1862), and Chief Commissioner of Coorg.

Bowring also edited his father's notes and published "Autobiographical Recollections of Sir John Bowring" in 1877.
