Gowdall is a village and civil parish in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It is situated approximately Convert|1|mi|km|lk=on west of the town of Snaith.It lies a mile to the north of the M62 motorway and A645 road and just south of the River Aire.According to the 2001 UK census, Gowdall parish had a population of 318.cite web

The parish was part of the Goole Rural District in the West Riding of Yorkshire from 1894 to 1974, then in Boothferry district of Humberside until 1996.

In the year 2000 it was severely flooded, and made national news.
